Overtraining issue to blame?

Around Christmas I had problems with overtaining and after many layoffs I finally was able to start rebuilding my running mileage again. I've been feeling great after all my runs and have been feeling like I could go faster than I have been and have really been careful since but lately all the old signs of my overtraining are back (except for decreased performance). I have been under a lot of stress with work aand everything so could it just be that or is it overtraining again?
