Financial Aid and Grants?

My employer is closing the center and the end of the year. My department will be closed no later than August 1st. I want to go back to school to earn a degree in Sports Marketing and Media. I know I made 36k for 2010. Though after August the only income I will have coming in is from my part time job (only work there once a week), will FASFA only go by my 2010 taxes in which I filed or will the layoff be a factor in determining grants as well? I really don't want to take out any loans but if this is my last option then I will.
