If i get take a medical layoff will i be eligible for unemployment in Washington state?

I fought and won a battle with cancer in 2009, but my current job has me working with chemicals that are known to cause cancer. My doctors agree that i should not be around them, since they consider me high risk. I am able to perform all functions for other jobs, except chemical use. I am unable to transfer to another job permanently. My only other option is medical layoff. Would i be eligible for unemployment benefits?
