Texas Teachers Alternative Teaching Program...Help!!!?

Anyone ever use this program? Is it a good program? Will it be hard to find a job in Houston after I complete the program? Anyone from Houston know if it will be hard since they have had all the layoffs? Do you know of any districts in need of teachers? You don't have to know all the answers, Any advice will do, just no web links. I am wanting to teach science and or math. Thanks!
